Aircraft Application Equipment
APS prides itself on operating with state of the art application technology. We are able to offer an extensive range of equipment including:
Flow Control
All five of our Ag aircraft are fitted with flow control units for ground speed corrected application of products.
Variable and Prescription Rate Applications
We have 3 aircraft capable of prescription treatments. The flow control computer takes the digital map for the application and will place the correct rates on the correct areas of your field. This is particularly useful when using vigour imagery or soil mapping data. Variable rate treatments are also available with solid applications of fertilizers trace elements.
Electrostatics
APS are the only operators in Qld operating the Spectrum Electrostatic spray system. This equipment was developed by the US Department of agriculture and is sold under license. We have seen stunning results with this equipment. An electrostatic charge is induced onto the droplet as it leaves the nozzle; this statically charged droplet is attracted to the leaf target giving an exceptional coverage. Where the chemical label allows the use of electrostatics, substantial savings can be made in chemical expense.
Jarba Rotating Boom with Smart Drop Technology
This innovative equipment can produce a variation of droplet spectrum from 400 micron to 90 Micron on the fly. A unique computer controlled boom maintains the optimum nozzle orientation for any given airspeed.
Conventional Spray Equipment
A full range of conventional equipment is available including flat fan nozzles/ cp nozzles/ shielded micronair atomizers.
